The Cerritos College baseball program leads the state with nine California Community College Athletic Association state championships in their history. Wally Kincaid won six championships, while George Horton won titles in 1985, 1987 and 1989. The first coach in Falcon history, Kincaid spent 22 years coaching the team and produced an incredible 678-163 (.806) record, which included 15 conference championships, 51 tournament championships, seven Southern California championships and six state titles.

From 1965-67, Kincaid led his team to 60-straight regular season wins, which included a perfect 40-0 record in 1966. In 2010, he was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame and was one of the inaugural inductees into the Cerritos College Hall of Fame in 2012. Kincaid was also named the National Community College Coach of the Century by Baseball America Magazine.

Horton, who played for Kincaid from 1972-73, served as the Falcons head coach from 1985-90 and posted a 226-53 record with state titles in 1985, 1987 and 1989. Some of Horton's players at Cerritos include eventual Major League Baseball Players Mike Benjamin, Ever Magallanes, Quinn Mack, Craig Worthington, Al Osuna, Brian Hunter, Bret Barberie, Craig Wilson, Jay Makemson, Darrell Sherman, Bobby Magallanes and Danny Patterson. Horton, who went on to lead Cal State Fullerton to a College World Series, is now the head coach at the University of Oregon.

Additionally, former Falcons Dave Serrano (University of Tennessee) and Rick Vander Hook (Cal State Fullerton) are Division I head coaches, while dozens are coaching at various levels.
