Savanna HS: Pulled in eight passes for 101 yards as a senior… Earned 2nd Team All-Orange League and was his team’s Defensive Most Valuable Player that year… Recorded 93 tackles with eight quarterback sacks… Earned Scholar-Athlete recognition as a senior and junior… Voted the team’s Most Improved Player his junior season… As a member of the basketball team, he earned the team’s Top Rebounder Award as a junior and was their Most Improved player his sophomore year… Also a member of the track and field team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he had 18 tackles, six for loss, two sacks and two fumble recoveries against Santa Ana Valley High his senior year… Is working on a minor in business… Hobbies include sleeping… Has three siblings – Alex (16), Julian (9) and Julissa (6)… Is the son of Angelina Cortes… Born in Garden Grove, CA on June 19, 1997…..
