Angel Sifuentes

Title: Assistant Coach

A multi-sport athlete for Cerritos College from 2012-13, Angel Sifuentes is in her second season as a member of the coaching staff. As a freshman, Sifuentes won the state championship in the javelin at 42.27 meters, which tied the school record. Also in that season, she placed second at the Southern California Championships after winning the South Coast Conference title.

She followed up her freshman season by placing second at the state championships in the heptathlon with 4546 points, which ranked her second on the school’s all-time list and still ranks fourth all-time. Additionally that season, Sifuentes took second place in the javelin, as the Falcons went on to win the team state championship.

Sifuentes then transferred to the University of Texas, San Antonio, where she set a school record in the javelin (43.62 meters).

She has coached athletes in track and field, gymnastics and cheer for over 10 years.

Sifuentes earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and was Magna Cum Laude from Texas Chiropractic College in 2022 and a Masters in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2018. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidiscipline with an emphasis in Kinesiology, Sociology and Psychology from UTSA in 2016.

Sifuentes, 32, is single and resides in Huntington Park.
