In a season where the Cerritos College men's soccer team ran off a 19-game unbeaten streak (14-0-5), the final United Soccer Coaches Association poll put the Falcons at #4 among Division III (non-scholarship) schools. One game away from advancing to the 3C2A State Championships, Cerritos concluded the season at 15-3-5 and marked the sixth time in the last seven seasons the team won at least 15 games.

"The season didn't provide the final outcome we would of liked by not bringing our fifth state title home," stated head coach Benny Artiaga,  "but that doesn't change what a great season our guys had and the consistency in which our program continues keep Cerritos College at such a high standard."

Included in the unbeaten streak was a 1-0 win over eventual state champion Cuyamaca College, as well as a 2-1 victory over rival Mt. San Antonio College, who at the time were unbeaten and ranked #1 in the nation.

In all, the Falcons faced 12 teams that advanced to the playoffs and recorded a combined 9-3-3 record.

"Being ranked #4 nationally is a great accomplishment for our program," added Artiaga. "Our plan is to regroup and get back at it next season."
