Downey HS: Competed at 195 pounds as a senior, placed second in the San Gabriel Valley League Championships and went 12-8 on the year… Qualified for the CIF Prelims, while he helped the team finish fifth at the CIF Championships… Placed fourth at the Clash at Bullhead at 195 pounds… Did not have a junior season due to Covid-19… Posted a 12-4 mark at 195 pounds his sophomore year and was a member of the San Gabriel Valley League championship team his freshman year… Went 5-1 at 220 pounds that season… Spent four seasons on the wrestling team…..
