Sophomore pitcher Jared Robinson, who was named the South Coast Conference Player of the Year, was selected in the 11th Round (338th overall) by the Cleveland Indians. Robinson, who was also named All-State, is expected to sign with the Indians.

As a sophomore, Robinson went 10-4 on the mound with a 2.23 ERA and three saves. He was clocked at 92-93 MPH on his fastball, and struck out 63 batters in 93 innings and won his last seven starts of the season. At the plate, he hit .299 and led the team in doubles (11) and RBI (22), while he shared the team lead with two home runs and 11 stolen bases. In his freshman year, Robinson was 3-7 with one save a 3.91 ERA in 78 innings. He struck out 71 batters, while he hit .253 with seven doubles, three triple and drove in 15 runs.

Robinson, who was the first California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) player selected this season, is the highest drafted Falcon baseball player since Eric Boardman was selected in the fourth round by the New York Yankees in 1995.
