Cerritos College Track & Field (2013): Competed in the 800 meters (2:09.34), 1500 meters (4:17.69), 3000 meters (9:35.01), 5000 meters (17:01.12) and 3000 meter steeplechase (10:46.24) during the season…..
Cerritos College Cross Country (2013): Came in 35th place with a time of 21:52 at the South Coast Conference Championships, while his time of 27:58.65 earned him 28th place at the UCLA Double Dual… Placed 56th at the San Diego Invitational in a time of 23:23.40, with his time of 21:52.61 earned him 48th place at the Central Park Classic… Finished the Lou Vasquez Invitational in 22:09 for 56th place and earned an 18th place finish in the SoCal Preview Meet in a time of 23:54.81… Also ran the Palomar Invitational in 23:48 for 29th place…..
Cerritos College Cross Country (2012): Placed 75th at the South Coast Conference Championships in a time of 22:46.77 and also came in 151st place at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational in 24:45… Finished the Grand Canyon Invitational in 29:55.7 for 101st place and turned in a time of 24:35.18 to come in 63rd place at the Coast Classic Overflow… Took 53rd place at the Palomar Invitational in 24:55 and also competed in the Mark Covert Classic…..
Long Beach Wilson HS: Earned the Alpizar Scholarship as part of the cross country and track and field teams as a senior, while also receiving the Unsung Runner Award… While on the track team, he qualified for the CIF Prelims in the 3200 meters, while also competing in the 1600 meters (4:55)… Also ran the 800 meters (2:12)… Spent two seasons on both teams…..
Personal: Most memorable moment was running in the CIF Prelims as an alternate after coming back from an injury earlier in the season… Would like to transfer to either Cal State Fullerton or Cal State Long Beach… Has two siblings – Abel and Monica… Is the son of Jose Luis and Felipa Perez… Born in Long Beach, CA on August 3, 1994…..
