In their opening match at the 112th Annual Ojai Tennis Tournament, the Cerritos College women's tennis doubles team of freshman Mandi Jenkins (Connections Academy HS) and sophomore Dominique Luna (Santa Fe HS) easily defeated Niki Green and Carly Peloquin of College of the Desert, 6-0, 6-0, which advances them to the Round of 32, which will take place on Friday. They are the only remaining Falcons alive in the tournament, as both singles players and the other doubles team was eliminated on Thursday.

Jenkins and Luna will square off at 12:30 p.m. on Friday against Samantha Sismundo and Sevana Zargaria of Glendale College in their Round of 32 match. The other doubles pairing of sophomores Kim Diaz (Norwalk HS) and Hui You Sohn (Cerritos HS) were eliminated in their first match, 6-7, 6-1, 9-11 against Nancy Duong and Jessica Guerrero of Rio Hondo College. In singles play, Jenkins opened with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jessica Zuniga of Imperial Valley in the Round of 128, but was defeated, 0-6, 3-6 by Victoria Vo of Fullerton College. Diaz suffered a 2-6, 1-6 loss to Chika Yanai of San Diego Mesa College in her opening match.
