Cerritos College men's and women's Track and Field/Cross-Country coach Chris Richardson has been selected to serve as the Men's Head Coach on USATF's World Athletics U20 Championships staff. In this role, Richardson will play a key role leading Combined Events. Coach Richardson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Team USATF Staff as Thorpe Cup Head Coach, Jr. Pam American Jumps Coach, U23 NACAC Throws Coach, as well as various other appointments along with being a 2x NCAA Division I All-American and 2005 in NACAC Gold Medalist.
"The opportunity to serve Team USA and lead the U20 World Juniors as the Men's Head Coach is a tremendous honor," stats Richardson. "I look forward to mentoring and contributing to the positive experience of the next generation of great American Track and Field Athletes and their journey to gold."
In his 11 seasons with the Falcons, Richardson has helped lead the Falcons women's track and field team to five 3C2A State Championships, as well as eight South Coast Conference titles. On the men's side, they have won two conference championships, with each of the cross country teams each winning a conference title.
