In just their second year of competition, the Cerritos College beach volleyball team has qualified for the Southern California Team Tournament. The Falcons (15-7), who finished in third place in the South Coast Conference, was seeded #10 for the tournament. Cerritos will take on #2-seeded, and host Santa Monica College, at 10:00 a.m. on April 29, followed by an 11:00 am match against #7-seeded Grossmont College. Santa Monica and Grossmont will face each other at noon. The winner of the group will join the winners of the other three groups and advance to the 3C2A State Championships.

In their first match of the season, Cerritos took on the Corsairs and dropped a 5-0 match, with two of the positions going to a third set. This will be the first match of the season against the Griffins. Santa Monica (20-6) was the champions of the Western State Conference, while Grossmont (11-7) came in third place in the Pacific Coast Conference.

The match will take place at Ocean Park in Santa Monica and admission is free.
