Cerritos College beach volleyball made a statement on Friday, opening the 2026 campaign with a decisive dual match victory over Glendale and Santa Ana, to move to 2–0 on the season.
The Falcons controlled the match from start to finish, asserting themselves across the lineup and setting the tone on every court. The No. 1 pair of Roselia Cazares-Gonzalez and Roselyn Tobie led the charge with poise and power, establishing early momentum and putting Cerritos firmly in control.
At the No. 2 spot, Jordin Lewis and Jasmine Soto-Castro delivered a strong, physical performance, keeping pressure on their opponents and extending the Falcons' advantage. Tiffany Teats and Gabriella Colombo followed suit at No. 3, showcasing consistency and composure in key moments to help lock down the dual.
Elizabeth Beltran and Danna Higuera brought energy and discipline at the No. 4 court, and Priscilla Castillo and Isabela Torres rounded out the No. 5 match with great teamwork, sealing the result and capping a dominant team effort.
Under the direction of head coach Ashleigh Atsaros, Cerritos demonstrated depth, chemistry, and competitive edge in its opener, setting a confident tone for the season ahead.
The Falcons are back in action on Friday, January 30, traveling to Golden West College for a tri-dual against Golden West and Ventura.
