The Cerritos Beach Volleyball team dropped a narrow 3-2 decision against Long Beach City College on Friday at Rosie's Dog Beach.

Cerritos got a strong performance from the No. 1 team of Roselia Cazares-Gonzalez and Jasmine Soto-Castro, who battled back from losing the first set to securing the victory with wins in sets two and three. The Falcons No. 3 team of Elizabeth Beltran and Gabriella Colombo, also secured their match with a comeback victory by scores of 17-21, 21-21, 15-13 to give the Falcons their two wins in the match. However, Cerritos fell in the remaining matches in straight sets.

Despite the loss, Cerritos showed resilience throughout the lineup, pushing multiple matches to extended sets and keeping the outcome in doubt until the final points were played.

Cerritos will look to bounce back in its next contest as it continues conference play against Mt. SAC and Rio Hondo next Friday, March 27th.
