Cerritos College beach volleyball turned in a strong day of competition on Wednesday at Rosie's Dog Beach, earning a decisive 5–0 sweep over Riverside City College after battling Santa Monica College in the opening dual.
Against Santa Monica, the Falcons showed grit across the lineup in a tightly contested match before ultimately falling 4–1. Several flights went the distance, with Cerritos pushing SMC in multiple three-set battles and staying competitive throughout the dual. The highlight of the opening match came at the No. 1 flight, where Roselyn Tobie and Roselia Cazares-Gonzalez secured a straight-set victory to put Cerritos on the board.
Cerritos quickly regrouped and responded in dominant fashion against Riverside, sweeping all five flights to earn a 5–0 win and close the day on a high note.
The strong response against Riverside highlighted the Falcons' resilience and growth as the season continues, with Cerritos demonstrating the ability to compete at the top flights and close matches throughout the order.
