Continuing with the list of Cerritos College baseball players signing with four-year universities, relief pitcher Cade Sonoqui (Long Beach Millikan HS) is the next to sign with a Division I program. Sonoqui, who appeared in 24 games in his two-year Falcon career, has signed with Division I University of the Pacific. Sonoqui is the eighth player to sign with a four-year school, with five of the signings being with Division I colleges.

As a sophomore, Sonoqui appeared in 14 games and went 2-1 with two saves and a 2.19 ERA in 24 2/3 innings. He struck out 31 batters on the season, including a season-high four in four separate games. Sonoqui opened the season with a 4 1/3 inning outing, while he picked up a win in a three-inning outing against El Camino College, as well as a save against Los Angeles Mission College, where he also went three innings in relief. He saw action in three post-season games and allowed one run in 3 2/3 innings and struck out seven batters.

He started four of his 10 games in 2023 and went 2-3 on the year in 27 2/3 innings while registering a 4.55 ERA.

Sonoqui will be playing for former San Joaquin Delta College head coach Reed Peters, who was named the Tigers head coach over the summer. When the Falcons faced Delta, Sonoqui tossed two shutout innings in the team's 4-0 win.

Last season, UOP went 11-44 on the year, with Sonoqui looked up to solidify the bullpen that used 18 different pitchers during the season.
