Facing host Rio Hondo College in a South Coast Conference match on Wednesday, the Cerritos College men's water polo team scored at will in a 24-7 victory. The win by the Falcons (9-6, 2-0) was their fourth in a row, as the team will host Merced College in a non-conference game at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The team scored the first eight goals in the game, including taking a 7-0 lead through the first eight minutes. They scored a season-high 10 second period goals to open a 17-6 lead at intermission and kept the Roadrunners (0-14, 0-3) off the board once again in the third period.

The comfortable win allowed a variety of players see extra time, as nine different players scored, with freshman Jaylen Wade (La Mirada HS) leading the way with five goals on six shots. He scored a pair of goals in the second and fourth periods, while he also added a trio of helpers.

As a team, Cerritos scored their 24 goals on just 32 shots, with freshman Julian Almanza (St. John Bosco HS) scoring four times, with the trio of sophomores Isaiah Wright (Whittier HS) and Max Lucero (Whittier HS), along with freshman Cruz Cassayre (Warren HS) all adding three goals to the team's total. Along with Wade, sophomore Ruben Martinez (Western HS) and freshman Brice Huxen (St. John Bosco HS) all chipped in with three assists.

All three goalies saw action, with freshman Geo Fagiani (Schurr HS) making six of the 14 saves in the win.
