As recently as 2024, Monserrat Rodriguez was a 1st Team All-South Coast Conference member of the Cerritos College indoor volleyball team that advanced to the 3C2A State Tournament. She was also a member of the Falcons beach volleyball team that also qualified for the state tournament for the first time in the program’s history. Individually in beach volleyball, she teamed with Rosie Cazares-Gonzalez to advance to the Southern California Championships.

Rodriguez prepped at Gahr High where she was named to the Press Telegram  Dream Team as a senior, while earning All-San Gabriel Valley League honors. She also led the league in kills and was her team’s captain. Rodriguez helped lead the team to the league championship as a sophomore and freshman.

Rodriguez, 20,  is also coaching at Bolsa Grande High, as well as with the Apex 1 Club team since 2023. She has previously coached at Gahr High (2022-23) and Long Beach Millikan High (2023-24).
