Cerritos College women's basketball player Carissa Basurto (El Rancho HS) knocked down five second-half three points to help lead the team to a 65-32 non-conference against visiting Barstow College on Friday. The Falcons will now travel to Taft College on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. game.

Basurto, who was scoreless through the first half, drained three consecutive three-pointers to start the third quarter, as the Falcons started to pull away after leading, 26-15 through the first half. After her third trey, Cerritos was on top, 43-17, which also included four points each from sophomore Lauryn Nakamura (Cypress HS) and freshman Justine Lucero (South El Monte HS).
