Cerritos Erupts for 20 Hits in 25-1 Rout of Los Angeles Harbor

The Cerritos baseball team exploded offensively on Tuesday, rolling to a 25-1 victory over Los Angeles Harbor behind a 20-hit performance at the plate.

After Los Angeles Harbor struck first in the opening inning on a sacrifice fly by Aiden Brasher, the Falcons quickly responded and never looked back. Cerritos took the lead in the second inning on a two-run double by Luke Crowder, then broke the game open with a five-run third inning to go up 7-1.

The Falcons continued to pour it on in the fourth, highlighted by a three-run home run from Jose Perez that extended the lead to 13-1. Cerritos added runs in every inning from the second through the seventh, including a six-run sixth inning to push the advantage well out of reach.

Cerritos' lineup was dominant from top to bottom, with multiple players turning in big performances. Mateo Heredia led the way with a 4-for-4 effort, scoring four runs and driving in two. Jacob Curnean added three hits, four RBI, and four runs scored, while Perez finished with three hits and a game-high five RBI, including his three-run homer.

Crowder also had a standout day, collecting two hits, including a home run and double, while driving in four runs. Tyler Peshke contributed two hits and two RBI, and CJ Berthon added two hits and two RBI as part of the 20-hit attack.

On the mound, Owen Waytas earned the victory, allowing just one run on seven hits over six innings while walking one. The bullpen trio of Nicholas Moreno, Caleb Orr, and AJ Gonzalez combined to shut down Los Angeles Harbor over the final three innings, allowing no hits while striking out five.

Cerritos' 25 runs marked it's ninth game this season with 10 or more runs scored.
