After two seasons where she was named 1st Team All-South Coast Conference South Division as a freshman and 2nd Team All-South Coast Conference as sophomore, Cerritos College women's soccer player Ariana Rivera (Long Beach Millikan HS) has made her four-year decision. Rivera has signed with Division III Azuza Pacific University to help assist as an attacking threat like she did as a Falcon.

In her freshman year with Cerritos, Rivera started 19 of the team's 20 games and scored nine goals with three assists, totaling 21 points. Rivera was the team's leading scorer as a freshman. 

As a sophomore with the Falcons this season, Rivera scored five goals, three assists and had total of 13 points, as she started 20 out of 21 games. She was the second leading scorer and had a game-winning goal against Fullerton College. She was also one of the three Falcon captains. 

"Ari has been such a blessing to have these last two years. Not only is she a beast on the field, but a great leader to her team both on and off the field." stated head coach Yvette Vascones. "She raised the level of competition here at Cerritos and will be missed. I have no doubt she will bring the same success as a Cougar at APU!" 
 
Rivera will be joining a Cougars team that went 12-4-5 this last year and advanced to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16. Unfortunately, they lost to a strong Cal Poly Pomona team who made it to the Final Four.
