On Wednesday, the Cerritos College volleyball team faced the state's #7-ranked Pasadena City College in a South Coast Conference match, and followed that with another SCC match against #3-ranked El Camino College. Just as they did against the Lancers, the Falcons (8-11, 5-6) were swept by the Warriors, 17-25, 20-25, 13-25. The team will now travel to Los Angeles Trade-Tech College for a 7:00 p.m. match on Wednesday.

Held to just five kills in the loss, sophomore Lupe Garcia (Foshay Learning Center HS) and the rest of the Falcons struggled at the net against the taller El Camino team. As a team, Cerritos had just 18 kills, but 16 kill errors, while sophomore Aundrea Stovall (Lynwood HS) shared the team lead with five kills. Freshman setter Gloria Chang (Bellflower HS) led the team with 11 assists and converted both of her kill attempts.

Freshman Andrea Garrett (Cerritos HS) and Latia Peters (Hesperia HS), along with sophomore Amber Finley (Gahr HS) all recorded a pair of blocks, while freshman Madison Guastella (Lakewood HS) led the team with 14 digs. Garcia added seven digs, with Chang and freshman Katie Christensen (Gahr HS) both contributing five digs.
