For the second time this season, the Cerritos College volleyball team posted a win over East Los Angeles College, as they recorded a sweep, 25-17, 25-13, 25-17 on Tuesday. The win evens the Falcons South Coast Conference record at 4-4, while they are now 7-9 on the season. The team will look for their third straight win on Friday, as they travel to Long Beach City College for a 6:00 p.m. match.

Continuing to have an outstanding season is sophomore Lupe Garcia (Foshay Learning Center HS), who led the team with 15 kills and only three errors. She helped put away the Huskies with eight kills in the third game, and also scored the Falcons points with five service aces and also added eight digs in the back row. Freshman Andrea Garrett (Cerritos HS) complimented Garcia's performance with six kills and five blocks.

Also helping out at the net were sophomores Andrea Stovall (Lynwood HS) and Amber Finley (Gahr HS), who contributed five kills and four kills, respectively. Directing the offense was freshman setter Gloria Chang (Bellflower HS), who dished out 13 assists, while freshman Brittany Buffington (Mayfair HS) added seven assists and four kills. In the back row, freshman Madison Guastella (Lakewood HS) came up with seven digs.
