Led by the tandem of Juan Flores (Warren HS) and Louis Santibanez (Warren HS), the Cerritos College men's cross country was able to finish in third place at the Golden West Classic on Friday. Flores completed the four-mile course at Central Park in Huntington Beach in a time of 20:55.39, which put him in second place out of 211 total runners. He was 12 seconds off the first place time. Santibanez, who crossed the finish line in 21:14.84, earned a fifth place result. Cuyamaca College, who had the first and third place finishers, came in first place with 41 team points, while Riverside City College placed second with 44 team points.

The Falcons ran in a tight pack, as a trio of runners concluded the team score and finished in the Top 21. Axel Rebolledo-Ynostros (California HS) was the 19th finisher of the race in a time of 21:48.38, with teammates Jonathan Morales (Warren HS) and Mikel Bautista (Warren HS) right behind. Morales was 20th overall with a clocking of 21:50.28, with Bautista crossing the finish line right behind him in 21:54.20, good for 21st place.

Two more runners were bunched together, with Nikolas Dominguez (Downey HS) in 24th place in a time of 21:57.51, with Alexander Reyes (Downey HS) taking 27th place when he was timed in 22:03.49.
