Looking to snap a four-match slide, the Cerritos College volleyball team posted a three-set sweep over visiting Glendale College on Friday night, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15. The Falcons (4-4) will return home after playing their last four matches on the road to host Golden West College at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. First-year head coach Ashleigh Atsaros played for the Rustlers from 2016-17.

Leading the way for Cerritos against the Vaqueros was freshman Jordin Lewis (Warren HS), who recorded 15 kills and four service aces, while coming up with crucial kills in the first two sets. Posting wins in those two close sets seemed to wear down Glendale, who struggled with their attack, while the Falcons went on for the sweep.

Sophomore Daniela Luna (Walnut HS/Riverside City College) added eight kills without an error, while she also contributed five digs, with the back row led by freshman Roselyn Tobie (Maxine Waters HS) and her 17 digs. Sophomore setter Evelyn Soto-Castro (Schurr HS) dished out 24 assists in the win and added 11 digs and three kills, with freshman Tiffany Teats (Warren HS) providing a nice balance with six kills.
